Test pressing : A sample disc of a proposed recording, used to check for any problems in the pressing or reproduction. Generally issued with a blank label, the artist, song information and factory name are written in at most. Made in 1 to 5 copies for each pressing.

Acetate : It's a metal plate covered in a layer of acetone. Acetate records are one sided or 2 sided.

Master disc : Metal disc used to press a batch of vinyl records.

Advance promo : Promotional record given to the press for reviews in advance of the commercial release.
